About Us

thika road academy
Thika Road Academy is a private primary school, located in Kahawa Sukari estate opposite Kenyatta University, approximately 20 kms from Nairobi City Centre. The school is set in a serene and spacious environment, landscaped by trees and lush green grass. The school offers the Kenya National Curriculum from the Nursery class to grade 8. Boarding facilities for boys and girls are available from grade four to eight.
Founded in 1991, the school started off with a single stream nursery class and standard 1, 2 and 3. It grew to standard 8 by 1995 when the first students sat for the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education. The school has grown to now include boarding for girls and more recently in 2018 boarding for boys too.

Thika Road Academy fosters learning in academic, discipline and extracurricular activities. Since the school’s founding in 1991, our goal is to offer our students a firm all round foundation and prepare them for success beyond primary school.
In line with the school motto, ‘In Search of Excellence’ the school aims to produce hard working and responsible students who strive to excel in all areas of their development.
