About Us

welcome to
thika road academy

Thika Road Academy is a private school located on a serene and spacious environment, landscaped by trees in the up-market Kahawa Sukari Estate opposite Kenyatta University. It is approximately 20 kms from Nairobi City Centre. The school was established in January 1991 and it follows the Kenya National Curriculum from nursery school to standard eight.

It started off with a single stream nursery school and standard 1, 2 and 3 and grew to standard 8 by 1995 when the first students sat for KCPE. The school has since expanded to include double stream in all year levels as well as boarding for girls and more recently in 2018 boarding for boys too.

Thika Road Academy has established itself as one of the top schools in the country, and our students continue to excel each year, and they are taught by some of the best teachers in the country.
